Course content:

  • Scissor-Lift training
  • Self- Propelled Boom-lift training
  • Cherry Picker training
  • Combined course covering any of the above categories of MEWP

Courses are run on demand at the client premises. 

Course overview:

  • Legislation and use of MEWP’s
  • Basic Types and Specifications of MEWP’s
  • Hazards Associated with MEWP use.
  • Daily Pre-use checks
  • MEWP Accident Analysis
  • Positioning of MEWP (To include ground conditions)
  • Emergency procedures including Rescue
  • Assessment – Practical and Written Test
  • DURATION: FULL DAY (8 HOURS)
  • NO. OF PARTICIPANTS: MAX 6
  • LOCATION: CLIENTS PREMISES

COURSE OBJECTIVES

On Completion of this Course participants will be able to:

  • Operate an MEWP safely and correctly in Accordance with the Manufacturers guidelines.
  • Clearly understand the causes of Instability while operating an MEWP.
  • Be able to carry out correctly the pre-use Inspection of the MEWP.
  • Work Safely at Height (Including fall restraint equipment).
  • Understand fully the procedures for the Emergency Lowering of the MEWP in the event of an Emergency.
  • Rescue from Heights procedures.
